How referrals work

From a shared link to an earned reward

Claimr connects the invitation, the new user’s activity, and the referrer’s reward. Set the conditions once so everyone knows what earns recognition.

  1. 01Connect

    Track the invitation

Connect each new user to the person or invite code that brought them. Keep that relationship linked to their product activity.

    Example

Sam joins through Alex’s invite. Claimr connects their accounts.

  2. 02Qualify

    Check the conditions

Choose what the new user must do to qualify, such as completing onboarding, reaching a milestone, or returning to the product.

    Example

Sam publishes a project and returns the following week.

  3. 03Reward

    Reward the contribution

Set flat, tiered, percentage, or performance-based rewards. Make eligibility depend on the activity your program values.

    Example

Once Sam meets both conditions, Alex earns the configured reward.

See what each referral brings

Understand the activity behind each invite. Use it to recognize valuable referrers, support ambassadors, and build programs with more than one referral level.

Referral Score

Understand the contribution

Referral Score uses tracked activation, retention, and revenue signals to help you understand the users each referrer brings.

Activation
Do referred users reach the first milestone?
Retention
Do they return and stay active?
Revenue
What do they contribute, where tracked?

Based on the data you connect. A score is a contribution signal, not proof of identity.

Follow more than one level

Track the chain from partner to advocate to new user. Define which levels qualify and how rewards are allocated.

Questions

Before you launch

How do we define a qualified referral?

You choose the relevant conditions, such as an activation event, later participation or a contribution threshold. Registration alone does not have to earn a reward. Connect the required events and define the qualification window.

Can referrals span more than one level?

Yes. Claimr supports referral relationships beyond a direct invite. Agree eligible levels and reward allocation as part of the program rules.

How is Referral Score different from an invite count?

Referral Score reflects downstream contribution using tracked activation, retention and revenue signals, rather than only the number of invitations. Its usefulness depends on the data connected to your implementation.

Does a high Referral Score prove that a user is genuine?

No. A contribution score is not proof of identity or a guarantee against abuse. Use appropriate eligibility checks, program limits and review procedures alongside scoring.

Can referrals connect to wallet or social signals?

Yes. Connected wallet and social activity can inform referral eligibility and ambassador programs. Plan the specific signals and conditions needed for your campaign.

Does the example create real referrals or rewards?

No. The people, events, and campaign rewards in this example are simulated. Completing it can count toward this website’s separate exploration program. It does not invite anyone or launch a referral campaign.
